Modeled after the great Fredonia-style fishing schooners, this 65-foot, “passenger fisherman” has become a landmark in Gloucester harbor where it provides chartered sails. Burnham revived many long-dormant Essex techniques to design the vessel, adapting them to more readily available modern materials. This culminated in a n authentic traditional vessel that was efficient to build and economical to maintain.
“Harold Burnham is an absolute genius and a determined worker. NO one else in the world could have done what he did. I love my schooner, and when I’m ready to build a bigger one, I’ll definitely commission Harold.”
